our mission

The 51 Fund is an equity investment fund that will finance films written, directed, and produced by women (including anyone who identifies as female) with budgets in the $1-5 million range.

The 51 Fund will:

• Advance the careers of a significant number of female filmmakers by getting them over the $1MM credibility hurdle

• Elevate the profile of our filmmakers, so that they can continue to make films at bigger budget levels indefinitely

• Demonstrate, with metrics, that audiences have a thirst for female-driven content so that creating films by and about women becomes an industry norm, not the exception

• Foster a new ecosystem for female filmmakers in which each generation of women becomes responsible for ushering in and elevating the generation below them

investors

When The 51 Fund launches publicly later this year, it will offer investors the chance to participate in the film industry while making a significant social impact by playing a key part in bringing gender equality to cinema.

The 51 Fund will provide a superior level of risk diversification by investing in a diverse pool of assets.
